Biography[]

Spoiler warning!
This article contains plot details about an upcoming episode.

Tane taught himself the art of Chi most of his life at Mount Tai; this hobby was inspired by his Grandfather who taught him the fundamentals of Elements. Tane is a very cunning and resourceful boy, in touch with nature, and the five elements. Anaru and Tane first meet at Tane's hometown Mount Tai, where the Shrine of Wood happens to be located. Even though Tane is older than Anaru, he looks up to him since the day he saves him from a deadly ambush. From that day on, Tane agrees to tag along with Anaru on his noble quest.

As the adventure progresses so does the relationship between Tane and Anaru. They both become infatuated with each other, and out of confusion have no idea how to approach the situation...

Etymology[]

Tane is a short form of the Maori word for man, this is the name of the Maori god of forests and light. According to the Maori creation myth Tanemahuta was responsible for pushing the sky and the earth, his parents, apart and giving man the world he now lives in.
